Higher education and culture at the heart of the agreement between Med-Or and the Mechnikov University of Odessa

Med-Or Foundation has signed an agreement for academic and cultural cooperation with the Mechnikov National University of Odessa.

Odessa National University Mechnikov and Foundation Med-Or of Rome have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cultural exchange and educational projects.

A key element of the MoU will be the financing and provision of scholarships by Med-Or, the cultural foundation of the Italian defense cluster Leonardo SpA, intended for deserving students of the Mechnikov University in Odessa, to enable them to attend courses in degree, master's, specialization courses at the main Italian universities identified by the Med-Or Foundation. In addition to scholarships, the cooperation includes collaboration between the two institutes in organizing a series of training programmes, visits, seminars and events.

These activities will cover topics of mutual interest, offering valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange and professional development. Through these initiatives, Med-Or and the University aim to strengthen ties between the two institutions of Ukraine and Italy, promoting academic excellence and international collaboration.

The signing of the MoU took place on June 19 during a short online ceremony that connected Rome with Odessa. Present were the Rector Vyacheslav Truba and the Vice Rector Andrey Vladimirovic Smytyug of the Ukrainian University, and on behalf of the Roman Foundation, the general director Letizia Colucci and the Deputy Director for International Relations Massimo Khairallah.
