Med-Or in Abu Dhabi launches MOVA: Med-Or Virtual Academy

The Med-Or Foundation presented in Abu Dhabi its Virtual Academy (MOVA) during the 11th edition of the ‘Change the World Model United Nations Emirates (CWMUN)’

From 25 to 27 October 2024, the 11th edition of the ‘Change the World Model United Nations Emirates (CWMUN)’, organised by the Diplomatic Association at the Sorbonne University and the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, was held in Abu Dhabi.

During the session in which he took part, Bernardino Leon presented MOVA: Med-Or Virtual Academy, the Med-Or Foundation's innovative training and strategic communication project that will start its activities in the coming weeks. MOVA is a project designed for young professionals, diplomats, researchers, and representatives of the economic, entrepreneurial and institutional world from Italy and Med-Or's partner countries, focusing in particular on the themes of diplomacy, security and technology. Bernardino Leon, former Special Representative and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya and then Director General of the Emirates Diplomatic Academy, will assume the role of Chairman of the MOVA.

Med-Or was represented at the event by the Director of International Relations Massimo Khairallah. The CW Model United Nations, held in several cities including New York, Rome, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Paris, Beijing and Singapore, is attended each year by students from all over the world, who come together to discuss relevant issues and simulate the workings of International Organisations. The 2024 edition of the CWMUN focused on the theme ‘Renewable Energy Diplomacy: A Sustainable Path to a Global Future’: more than 1,000 students from over 100 countries had the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas at the event in Abu Dhabi.
