First-ever student winner of a Med-Or scholarship graduates

The graduation marks a key moment of the collaboration between Med-Or, LUISS Guido Carli University and the Mohammed VI Polytechnic of Rabat.

On 5 July, Moroccan student Houda Merezak – the first awardee of a scholarship promoted by Med-Or Foundation in collaboration with Rome-based LUISS University and the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University of Rabat – graduated in Global Management and Politics from LUISS University. Her dissertation was entitled “Examining the Impact of Security-Based Factors on Supply Chain Location Decisions: A Longitudinal Data Analysis of Global Value Chain Participation”.

The agreement signed by Med-Or with the two Universities in 2021 aims to promote cultural initiatives and reinforce cooperation in the scientific and academic fields. It enables Moroccan students from the Mohammed VI Polytechnic to attend a Master’s Degree course at LUISS university through the provision of scholarships.

The initiative is part of Med-Or’s activities aimed at promoting culture, higher education and the internationalization of universities. It is also an expression of the Foundation’s commitment to strengthening ties between Morocco and Italy, as well as across the Broader Mediterranean. Through dialogue and the exchange of ideas among new generations and future ruling classes – and especially through academic cooperation – Italy can leverage the soft power deriving from its cultural and scientific leadership worldwide to establish solid ties and closer relations with its regional and international partners.
